The cycling and pedestrian mobility of Bellinzona and the surrounding areas is promoted by the project of the new bridge at Saleggi, a structure designed to accompany the daily life of residents and the experience of tourists who wish to explore the Bellinzonese on two wheels.

In the lighting project for the bridge, which is 152 meters long and 3 meters wide, I took into account the illumination levels required by the relevant regulations. The lighting fixtures have been integrated into wall recesses, with linear development and a diffuse and homogeneous light distribution along the entire surface, in order to ensure safety, visual comfort, and perceptual continuity.

To facilitate integration with the architectural structure, particularly with the metal framework of the bridge, I planned the use of a casing in corten steel, capable of interacting with the materials and making light an integral part of the structural signature.
