Edificio Rivacaccia

The Riva Caccia building presents itself as a modern and dynamic structure that elegantly overlooks the lakeside of Lugano. In the nighttime project, I studied a lighting scheme capable of preserving its character, respecting the recurring linearity of the architecture and providing a complementary image to that which is perceivable during the day. I particularly focused on the main facade, seeking harmony and coherence in the lighting of the balconies, while at the same time allowing for the possibility of personalizing them with decorative lamps.

Among the interior spaces subject to intervention, the entrance hall plays a central role. Here, I partially took up the luminous motif of the random lines present in the external porch and, at the same time, aimed to create an environment capable of surprising and welcoming residents and visitors, through a calibrated play of lights and reflections made possible by the lighting installation integrated into the space.
